PB & J Protein – 12 Bars

As he started learning about snack bars and their ingredients he was fascinated with with the nutrients in chia seeds, flax seeds and hemp hearts: all high in dietary fiber and omega-3 fatty acids.

After countless batches and taste-testing, he was able to create a blend of ingredients that provides at least 6 grams of protein and 5 grams of fiber along with other nutrients all-naturally offering the best in nutrition, texture and crave-worthy flavor without any processed ingredients.

As he shared his bars with friends, family and co-workers, he started getting requests for his bars and that's how Naked Hippie Snacks was born. A father-daughter team that began making bars for themselves in their own kitchen grew to a small business with a cult following, selling at coffee shops and health stores around Los Angeles county and the online community.

We have faced many challenges from when we first started developing our products to now. First we had to figure out how to make bars flavorful and nutritious, with distinct, strong flavors, without using “natural” or artificial flavors. Upon trying to break into the market and sell in person, we found that the snack bar market has become so saturated with less-than-perfect products that consumers are more reluctant to try our bars since they think ours are as bad as everything else. The same goes for vegan and healthy products–there is a societal misconception that vegan food and nutritious food can’t be delicious and that is simply not true.

We have always sourced the highest quality, natural (and organic as often as possible) ingredients we can find and refuse to work with any cheap fillers like chicory root fiber or soy protein isolate that tend to cause digestive issues. Going a step further, we dry our pineapples and bananas in-house. Lastly, Naked Hippie Snacks are the only snack bars around that harness the power of maple syrup to hold all the goodness together. Because of that, all of our bars have ZERO added sugars.
