This loose leaf tea goes by many names; Iron wort, Shephard's tea, or Tsai tou Vounou(Greek for "tea of the mountain"). It is the Sideritis plant which is cultivated in Greece and surrounding countries, while we harvest ours from the slopes of Mt. Parnon in the East Peloponnese. Most areas have their own local name for this tea, but they all seek it out for its unique flavor and its comforting properties.
